It's said by those in the know that the best guitar for playing the blues is one that has been in a pawnshop. If that's the case, what could have more mojo than slinging a pawn shop guitar with a guitar strap made of leather recovered from a junkyard Cadillac?

Modern luxury cars use thin, perforated leather upholstery but decades ago the domestic automakers specified high quality skins that were both luxurious and durable.

We salvage leather from vintage Cadillacs and Lincolns in Detroit area "pick & pull" wrecking yards, clean and condition the skins with professional leather care products and then send them down to Texas, where American artisans handcraft them into beautiful guitar straps, lined with soft and supple vegetable tanned leather.

Since only a very small number of straps can be made of the leather from a single car, each strap is one of a very limited edition. They aren't making any more 1992 Coupe DeVilles, so once they're gone, they're solid gone. Every strap is laser engraved with the Junkyard Leather logo and the VIN of the exact car from which that strap was made, which you can verify with an online VIN decoder.
