Chassis maker moves to Inner Mongolia

Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing, a producer of commercial vehicles and car chassis, is moving some operations from high-cost Shanghai to the northern province of Inner Mongolia. Inner Mongolia has inexpensive labor, even by China standards. The province also gives the company good access to multiple resources including metals, says Jerry Hong, director of international business and purchasing at Shanghai Huizhong. --
